Choose a sliding ladder if you want a light, low-cost ladder that is quick to fit and you already have a swing-down hatch. Choose a folding wooden ladder if you use the loft often and want a more comfortable climb with an insulated hatch included. Choose a concertina ladder if loft space above the hatch is tight.
